Geetika brings both international and local leadership experience to Partnerships for Change(PFC). She had been an executive with Akshaya Patra foundation USA since 2015, a nonprofit that works in partnership with the government of India to implement the world’s largest NGO-managed midday meal program feeding 1.6 children EVERYDAY. At Akshaya Patra, Geetika lead the Foundations and Corporation fundraising program across the US and managed seven successful chapters on the West Coast. She added few new fundraising chapters, developed new leaders and created a holistic fundraising model for the organization as their Vice President of Development. She successfully worked with the CSR of companies like PepsiCo, Google, Cisco, Intel, Microsoft etc to initiate and grow their contributions as well as engage their employees in transactional and transformative volunteering.
Her efforts over these three years have raised millions of dollars to feed and educate millions of children who otherwise would have been deprived the opportunity to attend school because of hunger.
Prior to joining Akshaya Patra, Geetika worked with Worldreader, a San Francisco based organization with the mission to bring digital books (e-readers) to every child and her family.
She has also worked as the Chief Development Officer West Coast, for Pratham USA - the largest education sector non-profit organization in India reaching ~7 million children annually.
She has been a non-profit professional for over 13 years and have worked for various non-profits in Bay Area including Hesperian Foundation, American India Foundation (AIF), National Equity Project (BayCES) and APIA Health Forum. She has honed her domestic as well as international experience by working for both program/project as well as development departments of non-profits. Her expertise is in international program management, corporate fundraising (CSR), private foundation grants, grant writing, board development, individual donations (HNI's), marketing strategies, social media campaigns, partnership development, advocacy and volunteer management.
She graduated from School of International and Public Affairs, Columbia University, New York with a master’s degree in Economic and Political Development with a focus on program development and non-profit management. She also received a Master’s in Business Administration (MBA) in Marketing from Lucknow University, India.
She says she is interested in supporting mission, goals and growth of efficient and sustainable national and international organizations. For her, success becomes more meaningful when it positively impacts the disadvantaged citizens of the world. She strongly believes that this position at PFC will provide her with ample opportunities to utilize and enhance her strengths and help many more across the globe!
